Placement in group offers for mutual support in cases of chronic illness, addiction, or social problems. Contact points (e.g., SEKIS) provide infrastructure and networking for affected persons who are experts in their own cause and exchange ideas beyond professional hierarchies.

Supplement to Therapy: Self-help is a strong network but does not replace medical treatment.
